The volcanic eruption that erupted in Mt. Melapi in Indonesia last night was the biggest and latest disaster in the last ten days. Volcano erupted for the first time in Indonesia on 26th October, covering the ashes and toxic gases in the nearby village. For volcanic eruptions nearly 100,000 people had to leave their house.
Rolling from the land under the island caused three disasters. The first eruption of Merapi volcano occurred several hours after a strong submarine earthquake near Sumatra, one of the western islands of Indonesia. An earthquake caused a ten-foot tsunami or a huge wave, at least 430 people died and about 16,000 people lost their homes.
Healthcare teams, ships carrying goods, helicopters and aircraft rushed to the area to help survivors of the victims. However, every time the country starts to recover, another disaster seems to occur.
Indonesia is composed of many islands in Southeast Asia. There are more volcanoes than any other country in the world. Melapi is the most active volcano in the country and has erupted four times in the past 10 years. That name means Indonesian volcano.
If the construction plate moves up and down, there is a possibility of an earthquake or a volcanic eruption. Tectonic plate is a huge bedrock making up the earth's crust. Indonesia is located above the Pacific Fire Ring.
After the first eruption last week, the rescuers started camping for villagers who fled from their homes. However, these camps were the first people who suffered a larger volcanic eruption this week.
According to the authorities, about 15,000 people are warned about evacuation around the volcano. Many people living near volcanoes are farmers. The ash that jets out of the volcano is dangerous during the eruption, but as time goes on it will make a healthy soil to grow the crop
Natural disasters in Indonesia are roughly divided into major disasters, middle disasters, and small disasters, but although damage is small, it is very common in Indonesia. These can be easily seen as macro, meso, micro events. The policy for dealing with natural disasters in Indonesia is still in the early stages of development and a strategy is needed to deal with these different kinds of disasters. In addition to the disasters listed in the table above, in Indonesia a moderate life loss (defined as 50-500 deaths in this case) or a large number of IDPs, even natural disasters even over several months there is. Examples of recent times are as follows.
In the past few years, many natural disasters have occurred in Indonesia. The most common one is the flood. Frequent disasters in Indonesia are floods, earthquakes and volcanic eruptions, and Indonesia is located at the edge of the Pacific, Eurasian and Australian tectonic plates, so the possibility of a tsunami increases. Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia, lasts long enough to fix the flood even if heavy rain falls, the flooding is most likely to occur. The most recent disaster is a volcanic eruption, so this article will focus on the volcanic eruption. In 2010 Mt. Melapi erupted. (December 8, 2010)
Indonesia is located in a region where there is a high possibility that the Pacific Rim Volcanic Zone and the structural plate are likely to move. Then Indonesia has to deal with the risk of volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, flooding and tsunami repeating. In the past 15 years, Indonesia has announced several global news for catastrophes. In addition, Indonesia has the worst volcano. And the biggest earthquake in Indo
