The Mysterious Mountains Underneath the Sea: The Wonders of New England Seamounts

As the oceanic plate continues to move, the seamount is removed from the hot spot (place of marijuana) and it is no longer active. As a result, the volcanic line and trajectory becomes younger with age. Seamount age transition can be used to track the history of plate movement. The mid-ocean ridge seamount is formed near the boundary of different plates. This is when the two structural plates are separated from each other. Magma passes through the cracks of the Earth's crust and forms a new symmetrical seamount at the bifurcation point.

This magma rises from the mantle to the bottom of the ocean, forming an active seamount. As time goes on, sea mountains are growing by the eruption of countless volcanoes until seamounts appear on the surface of the sea, forming sea volcanoes. As the movement of the plate continued, the volcano of the island left the hot spot, separated from the "hot spot", and a volcano of another island was made. This cycle is repeated to form the Hawaiian Islands. If you are looking for a real deep ocean like the middle of a wide ocean, you will see a seamount. Seamount is a mountain underwater that does not reach the surface, becomes an island. They are independent features (not part of the island), they rise suddenly from the ocean floor. It is usually kilometers. An impressive example is Bowie Seamount. And it is approximately 80 feet deep and 3,000 meters (approximately 10,000 feet) from the ocean floor.
