The Birth of Sociology

Auguste Conte (1798-1857), which is widely regarded as "father of sociology", became interested in social learning because of the changes brought about by the French Revolution and the Industrial Revolution. During the French Revolution that began in 1789, the class system of France changed dramatically. The nobility suddenly lost their money and status, while the farmers who were at the bottom of the social ladder rose to a stronger and more influential position. The Industrial Revolution followed the French Revolution and began in Western Europe in the 19th century. During the Industrial Revolution, people abandoned their agricultural lives and moved to the city to find a factory. They work long hours in dangerous situations to get low wages. There is a new social problem, and for decades little effort has been made to solve the plight of the poor in urban areas.
I looked at the broad changes brought about by the French Revolution and the Industrial Revolution and tried to find them. He believes that the social sciences, including the political science and history that existed at that time, could not fully explain the confusion and confusion he saw around him. He decided that he needed a new science. He called this new scientific sociology the source of social roots, in Latin as "fellow" or "with others."
Comte has decided that people must follow specific procedures in order to understand society, and now we know that this is a scientific method. Scientific methods use systems and specific programs to test theories of psychology, natural science, and other disciplines. Control also believes in positivism, which is an application of scientific methods in social analysis. Conte believes that sociology can be used to motivate social reform and often make society a better place for its members. Comte's "research" standard is not as rigid as today, but most of his conclusions are ignored because it is based on observation rather than a serious investigation.
In the United States, sociology was originally taught in Kansas University in 1890, University of Chicago in 1892, and in Atlanta University in 1897. Over time, it spread to other universities in North America. In 1922, McGill University in Montreal, Canada, the Department of Sociology at Harvard University in 1930, and the University of California Berkeley in the 1950s the first Department of Sociology was established.
Of particular interest to Burawoy's "founder politics" is that he mentioned the central role of Irving in the birth of sociology at least in four different publications (2005c, 2006a, 2006b, 2007). It is still outstanding. Not a single Owenait concept or social innovation is thoroughly mentioned. This seemingly paradox fit very well with Harrison (1969, p. 260), and since the 1850's Owent's work wrote that "not only as a heritage but also as a relic". It is neither socialist nor socialist. Social scientists have used the heritage of Owent literature many times These heritage has been forgotten at a small library of cooperatives, small world halls, staff associations, but they are not included in the symbolic accusations I think it will be useful.
