Bradford / brædfərd / (Listening) is a city located in the Bradford metropolitan area of West Yorkshire, England. Bradford is located at the foot of the Pennine Mountains, 14.6 km west of Leeds and 26 km northwest of Wakefield. Bradford became a municipality in 1847 and acquired a city charter in 1897.
