Significance of Repetition in Our Town

Born in 1897 in Madison, Wisconsin, Amos Parker Wilder, Isabella Wilder. In 1906, Amos Wilder was appointed US Consul General, and his family moved to Hong Kong with him. Thornton Wilder lived in Hong Kong for only 6 months, returned to the United States with his mother, and then reunited with his father in Shanghai in 1911 for one year. Wilder studied at Overlin University for two years, moved to New Haven, Connecticut, with his family, and entered Yale University.

There are three actions in our town. Each action sends a different message. The first action, "everyday life" shows the appearance of this town. The bill provided information on the past, listed the structure of the town, and established important activities in the town. With this action, these characters live a normal life every day in peaceful life. You begin to see the daily life of the town. Their life seems simple, and the character's development is not so much. Play is focused on two families. Both families live their lives all day long. In the first act, Wilder draws the audience into the character's simple life system. This bill emphasizes relationships among groups and towns rather than individuals (Stephens 1). The title of the second act is "Love and Marriage". This behavior is all that George Gibbs and Emily Webb are in love with. As many people see this character as an individual rather than a symbol of youth, the theme of the drama has been lost (Stephens 2). Emily saw her funeral
