Students learn from teachers, other people, the Internet, books, movies, people in the school, people outside the school, and people from other countries. Students learn through inquiries. They ask questions, want to know, explore, experiment and study new ideas. They build on-line worldwide connections and learn about places directly from people living around them! This is an example that one leads to another
Our school recently made plans for home garden. Our 4th graders and 5th grade students explore related issues in their research unit. In the 4 nights leisure time, children can take classes in the garden or in the kitchen.
One of my posts is a comment from Bernadette, which is doing a similar home garden project at a school in Kansas, USA.
