BACKGROUND: Microorganisms can enter the central venous catheter from the catheter cannula lumen. The catheter cannula should be properly sterilized to prevent blood flow infection (CLABSI) associated with the centerline. However, there are few manual manual disinfection procedures that take time. Another way is to use an anti-corrosive cap to clean the catheter cannula by continuous passive disinfection.
