Medical marijuana is currently legal in 29 states. Opponents of medical marijuana believe that such laws will increase the use of cannabis cannabis but believe that medical marijuana will help solve the US opioid crisis by reducing excessive death . The first claim that legalized medical marijuana increased adolescent entertainment use and was solved by a new meta-analysis aggregating eleven independent studies of four large US survey data dating back to 1991 . As a result - analysis shows that there is no major change (increase or decrease) in youth entertainment use after establishing medical marijuana. Available evidence suggests that adult entertainment may increase after the passage of medical cannabis, but much less research on the impact of adult marijuana law.
