When Monte was about 3 years old, I signed the park and entertainment flag football program. I count the number of days he can participate in sports. I am thinking about becoming a member of the team when I was a child, but I always want to confirm that my child is active by my parents. Okay, that failed. He does not want to run and he is not very interested.
Thinking that it might be a flag football is not his "thing", and I signed a plan for his park and entertainment football the following spring. Another failure. He does not like the heat and sweat. Again, he did not understand the concept. Of course, many kids are very excited with Monte's age and are excited, but this is not our story.
At the age of 4, he became interested in Ninjago and Power Rangers. We asked him if he was interested in trying karate. He was not sure what it was, but we contacted the local Karate Factory, Dojo Martial Arts, and signed him a trial class. He likes that! He spent some time understanding what he needs to do, but the coach was very patient and worked twice with him every week. Immediately he got more confident, concentrated and excited every week.
After doing a one - year karate and receiving some new belts, I asked him if he would like to give Flag Football another opportunity. "Yes" he said. So, I signed him to the league in the fall, and he shook his head! He concentrates more on how to play against his team and likes to run around. Last spring, he gave football another opportunity. He likes it, it is truly amazing!
I hoped to contact the parents who signed the kids to join the sports competition, I talked about this story, and they eventually are not interested. Do not give up! Your local park and entertainment is the perfect place to start introducing sports and activities to children. You do not waste a lot of money, they are very relaxed, mainly focusing on the basic principles of sports.
Karate will eventually become our "bulb" activity, but balls, soccer, rolls and dance may be activity of your child's light bulb. Take your time, do not give up! Also, the movements of the children should be fun. If your child is not interested, please do not press on them. You may be interested in the future
ESPN writer Tim Keown called the youth sports industry complex as a youth sports system and made children unsuccessful, especially in the early days of sports specialization. We have taken the children from childhood and experience joy of participating in various sports. Perhaps the worst part is that you can not improve your child's basic athletic ability by focusing on specific forms and skills of exercise before learning that the children act correctly. In other words, we want to know the technical skills to athletes who do not learn to run correctly, jump right, land properly, and why so many people are injured.
Through current research, we first describe the natural process of physical participation from childhood to adolescence and show that sports participation in childhood predicts adolescent situation. Early sports specialization was related to grades of puberty, but it did not prevent future participation. The initial sports sampler was unlikely to become other than participants later. Considering that PA is important at every stage of life, these results are concerned about the recent trend, that is, the increasing number of children specializing in earlier sports 15,20. Risks other than participants It is adolescence. Based on previous findings, 4, 41, 42 highlight the importance of early intervention to promote active lifestyle in childhood as it is a powerful determinant of future PA levels .
PURPOSE: We aim to deepen our understanding of the relationship between childhood specialization and puberty physical activity (PA). Its objectives are as follows: (1) Explain the natural process of sports participation f
