The Giver – Book or Movie? reflection

People often discuss whether books and movies are better because it is a matter of opinion. Personally, I think that the book "The Giver" by Lois Lowry is like a movie rather than a book. This is because Jonas is more expressive. There are more side characters to develop. First of all, outgoing Jonas is excellent. Jonas is more open in the movies and is trying to share his training. Jonas is conservative in the book and does not do much for fear of breaking the rules. Therefore, the movie Jonas shares his training with Fiona and his sister. It also reflects how people became more realistic. If you give them opportunities like Jonas, they will not hesitate to share it with friends and family. This enables the development of Jonas' role with his open character. Second, there are details of the side view. In this book, like Fiona, the role role of some role playing is small. In the movie, we see a lot of her, Fiona plays the love of Jonas. In books Fiona is very quiet and is considered a friend / fan of Jonas. In the movie, Fiona broke the rules and rebels of the elders by helping Jonas in his own way. Because of her emotions, she also changed her perspective. She learned the meaning of love, friendship and faith. This is the character development that Lois Lowry did not mention. Thanks to the development of Jonas and side character development, I can conclude that the movie version of that donor is better than the book.
The donor explained love to Jonas. In the book, to explain love, the donor gave Jonas his window of his favorite memory, a window to share a warm and special Christmas family. In the movie, Jonas learned about love from the word of "talented person", but he did not actually experience this until he approached the "do not know" baby Gabriel. Jonas threatened to leave the donor after the first war in the movie. In that book, if he got memory of war from the mentor, he wanted to leave, but I felt that there was no option other than coming back. He has more time to nurture, but he is dealing with suffering spiritually. In the movie, Jonas takes less time to spend with the donor to keep the rhythm and appeal of the movie.

In the book, Jonas was trained in Gibber in an annex next to the old house of Fiona. As the book says, "After the building faces the attachment, the wings are attached behind the scenes" (page 72). But in the movie, Jonas was trained in a small house spreading to the earth, a small house close to other buildings and communities. In that book, Jonas had to enter an attachment by saying his name to an insider, because the book says "He is so hot as to burn". "The sound comes from a small horn on the buzzer." This is Jonas (pages 72, 73). It shows how he entered. Laser from the side wall of the door scans his eyes
