TL; DR - Nightingale is a story about two sisters who knew the situation changed fundamentally due to the war and the fight for it. This book is definitely worth everyone's hype. If you need to pick up a book to read, please change it to one
"If I've learned something in my life for many years, that's it, I found a person I wanted to be in love with.We found out who we are in the war." - 1st line, 1 page
France was on the verge of war in 1939 and then invaded the German army. French men are summoned to serve the country and defend the country, women are forced to wait, and they want the men to return home
This must be the best book I have read in 2017. Unfortunately, it takes longer than I admit and it takes time to get idle with my Kindle. But when I got it, I was fascinated.
Episode: When Hitler led Germany with the door of France, the French were known as soldiers to serve the country. In any war, women are left behind to make a living for themselves and their children. The two sisters - Isabel and Viana - answered the war in a very different way. Isabel, two young people, anger and disobedience, risking their lives to join the resistance to the French Nazi occupation
Meanwhile, Vianne shows attention and fear and attempts to avoid conflict with authority for the safety of children. The story is full of scenes of everyday life in the theater where the definition of explosion, contempt and resistance, crossing overnight borders, brave behavior, and luxury change with changing circumstances.
My favorite: I like the fast pace of this book so I can not rule out the accumulation of characters. The relationship between Isabel and Vianne, and its sisters and their fathers was captured only in the first few chapters, but it was surprisingly established. As the scene of war begins, this book will speed up its process, letting readers understand the challenges and confusion facing our sisters and the decisions they have to do. I can not imagine that the writer Christine Hannah did detailed work in the country devastated by war, delineated everyday life with ease, and led the hero unable to express in the words of women's resistance movement in the war at the forefront.
This book is a historical novel but remember that this is based on a real Belgian woman named Andréede Jongh and that there are many similarities. I will not explain this story in detail, but please be careful not to check De Jongh until the book is completed. But if you do not read her later, that is an absolute shame.
For clarity, I failed. It is not a book club. I am going to finish the "nightingale" of Christine Hannah before Thursday night, but we all know their goodwill and the way they are laying. With the permission of my book club, I took a note. This is what they call a book that causes strong emotions; you will understand that a certain amount of wine has been consumed before we sit at the table for dinner and loud conversation. On her website, Christine Hannah explained "Nightingale" as "Epic love story and family drama in the early days of World War II". Two citizens of a French living in a warring country and a city mean that it is sometimes impossible to survive.
1, Nightingale by Kristin Hannah: During the Second World War, the story of the era has developed with two sisters and living in France under Nazi occupation. For brave people who endanger their lives and save people, this book is a wonderful carol and there are many brothers everywhere.
Like most war stories, the nightingale depicts the effects of war on those who are forced to endure poverty, prejudice, violence, injustice and death. Kristin Hannah did a wonderful job among fictional families, which not only influenced the lives of many people but also hurt my self-confidence, dignity, and humility.
