Book Review – The Maze Runner

This is a brief summary of The Maze Runner, the first book of the trilogy. Thomas wakes up in a dark box. He does not remember anything, but his name is Thomas. The box opens up and opens, another 50 - year - old boy in the house, The Glade appears.

I only read the first book of the series, The Maze Runner, it covers that story and my idea. So be careful of spoilers! The book begins with a boy who remembers only his name confined in perfect darkness - not his parents, not his home, even his age is his name Thomas only. He was pulled out of the darkness by a group of boys (mainly teenagers) called boxes. He does not know where he is or how he does not remember important things, but he seems to know about farms, animals, food and so on. Later he understood that he was not suffering from memory loss, but some part of his memory was erased and others remained intact. The person responsible for memory erase, maze creation etc is called creator.

Thomas is very interested and casts numerous questions on leader Albi. Alby has been working for two years and is creating an environment where boys can live safely. But these boys are not merely safe. In fact, they are surrounded by a maze. In this maze, there are deadly creatures, and they are not afraid of the murder. Thomas is very interested in the maze, so he wants to find a way out. This book is the best book I have ever read, thankfully it is the first book of the trilogy.
