Early research on Americans has long been a troublesome problem, and many ethnic groups, regions and races of young countries have unified and formed a unified national identity. Traditionally, American historians tend to focus on political and social systems when studying Americans. However, since literary researchers, especially the pioneering research by Benedict Anderson in 1983 "Imagination Community", we have used a wealth of methods to study American nationalism.
