The Cold War in the spring of 1864 was one of the worst attacks of General Ulysses S. Grant during the Civil War. Grant failed to explain the mission order to the subordinates, to instruct the correct action to the unit, to understand the operational environment, and to command the army with a coordinated plan. Grant has a stronger, stronger and well-equipped army than his enemies, but failure of his mission leads to a fatal error before and during battle.
