Hume and the Ethics of Virtue

I think that Hume's morals can be described as virtue ethics I am referring to the idea that which role will take precedence over action and action principles: practical with gentle role guidance and constraints Discussion. In traditional utilitarianism and Kant Ethics, personality is subject to actual deliberation. Only virtue is necessary to motivate benign behavior. I first outlined this approach with Aristotle's ethics and compared it with Hume. I think that the good character of Aristotle is understood as "self love". True self enthusiasts are most interested in using characteristics of judgment, selection, judgment, and removal.
Hume studied moral judgment and started looking for meaning of moral terms. Hume does not find observable facts and logical relationships that answer the concepts of good, justice, moral virtue, but the function of moral terms is not to express quality or relationship but "recognized emotions" . I do not have any emotions in my judgment. The reason we call it good is the same as what we call beauty. If that object is comfortable immediately, or if it is a useful means to obtain other pleasant items, that object is good. Virtue is a "natural virtue" such as talent, wisdom, kindness, whether it is "human virtue" such as honesty or justice, makes a person happy or useful to himself or to others It is quality to be.
In his work "Humanity theory", David Hume divides virtues into two categories, artificial virtue and natural virtue. Hume pointed out that courage is a natural virtue in paper. Among the paper's "pride and humility, its purpose and cause", Hume clearly shows that courage is the cause of pride. Witness, goodwill, learning, courage, justice, honesty, all these are the reasons for pride, and the opposite of their humility.
In his argument about natural virtues, Hume 's debt to Greek ethics can be seen more clearly. Among them, the important group (consisting of courage, generosity, ambition, etc.) is based on self esteem and may even be a kind of self-esteem: "We call it a heroic virtue, it's great Praise the soul under sublime character.Stability and perfection of pride and self-esteem, or main engagement to that passion ... courage ... and all other shining virtues clearly among them It is a strong self-esteem and it is derived from their origin. A big advantage "(Hume, essay, 599-600). However, these virtues based on self-esteem must be influenced by the second group including generosity, compassion, loyalty, friendship, and otherwise the courageous qualities are "tyrant and public robber It is suitable only for making "(Hume, Treatise, 603)
