Zero hunger

Hunger is the leading cause of death in the world. Although our planet provides tremendous resources to us, millions of people have become malnourished by unequal access and inefficient treatment. By using modern technology and a fair distribution system to promote sustainable agriculture, we can maintain the world's population and ensure that no one will suffer from starvation again.

Zero hanger challenge is a worldwide call for action seeking to build support for the zero hanger vision. It was launched by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and invited the Government, the private sector, NGOs and the public to make every effort to realize the vision. All of these are based on a common belief that hunger can be eliminated during our lifetime. WFP exists to eliminate hunger. Our mission is to cooperate with UN partners. In fact, our global efforts contribute to each of the five elements of the Zero Hunger Challenge. Zero starvation is a public policy aimed at eliminating hunger and social exclusion. The zero hanger program aimed at reducing poverty in the rural area for five years was sworn by President Daniel Ortega and other government members of North Tinotega.
