Yvonne's Ethics

A moral dilemma is an incident that asks us to respond to moral beliefs. It is necessary to decide whether it is right or wrong, fair or unfair. In my life, I experienced a lot of moral dilemmas, and I know that there is no moral dilemma affecting only one person. Some moral dilemmas are easier to solve than others. It is easy for those who can make decisions on the spot. For example, if a cashier gave me too much change, I can make a decision to return or withhold money right away.

There is evidence that philosopher Dr. Richard Burnor and Dr. Yvonne Raley's research have two moral perspectives; men tend to adopt a fair view, but women tend to prefer nursing perspective. Recent concerns about the viewpoint of nursing have led to nursing ethics. In proposing and defending this new ethical approach, relational theorists reject universalism, rationalism, and individualism of traditional theory. Nurse theorists do not pay attention to individual universal rights and obligations but rather establish a theory about interpersonal relationships. They argue that special responsibilities may arise in certain relationships (specialty) to win; they also believe that some emotions building relationships are less important than rationality. Finally, they believe that even our personal autonomy is partly produced by our relationship.
