In November 2017, Chapin Hall at the University of Chicago announced a breakthrough report on homelessness for American youth through the Youth Count Voices Initiative. Abstract Adolescent homeless is a problem characterized by high vulnerability. The extent of sofa surfing from temporary housing placement to another temporary housing arrangement is unknown to be part of a teenager's homeless. The voice of the number of young people of Chapin Hall is a nationwide research program dealing with several methods of studying homeless among young people. In this survey, new survey results on sofa surfing and homelessness were reported, mainly among 13,113 adults aged 13 to 25, or adults between 18 and 25 years old. According to the survey results, sofa surfing is relatively common, especially in elderly groups. Of the 13-17 and 18-25 year old families, 4.0% and 20.5% households have reported that they have surfed the sofa in the last 12 months. This brief report describes the results of the first community engagement conference with Californian lesbians, gay, bisexuals, transgender and question (LGBTQ) youth (including color youth). Their voices provide a struggle to be eliminated from the direct explanation of community needs and full participation of society as a member of the community. Their experience and insight will provide valuable guidelines for developing prevention and early intervention (PEI) programs and improving mental health services in the community.
