Use of young men, modern society and drugs To understand the use of drugs by young men and to examine literature in a coherent framework, you first need to understand the term 'gender'. It is said that gender is not just about men and women. Instead, it describes the characteristics and attributes attributable to each gender by society. The difference between sex and gender is that gender refers to biology and gender represents cultural differences and social structure superimposed on biological differences between the two sexes.

There are many similarities and differences between modern society and the society depicted in the brave new world of Olds Huxley. The use of recreational drugs and tolerance behavior are still controversial in modern society, but they are encouraged in countries all over the world. Likewise, the emphasis on consumer awareness and technology probably exists in every society more than we are going to admit. However, the world has abandoned the family concept, but modern society continues to accept it, even though we are still discussing the exact meaning of that term.

The novel was written in 1932, and Huxley predicted many relationships he thought would be in our modern society. In the "brave new world" they continue to use drugs called bodies. Anyone who feels unhappy or 'depressed' can use this medicine. There are many examples in the novel, medicine helps people. "I hope there is my body!" (Huxley 116). In our modern society, we also have similar medicines that can make you "happy" and alleviate depression. Things like selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) in today's society have a very similar effect on the body (due to depression).

Let's start with the biggest difference. In a courageous new world, society will cease to be happily absorbed. There is nothing to realize that. Modern society is also being driven by happiness, but it sets limits. Countries in the world think that using sex or drugs to keep people happy is no problem. Wonderful medicine somatic cells are freely distributed and easy to use. In modern society, entertainment use of drugs is still a controversial issue and some doctors may be able to introduce analgesics freely than morally acceptable. At the same time, in the brave new world, individuals are encouraged to have a tolerant sexual attitude. After all, in the world society, "everyone belongs to everyone" is saying. This attitude does not apply to modern society.
