Recently (Disease Control and Prevention Center 2015, 2016). Amidst such growth, the use of electronic cigarettes (electronic cigarettes) by young people and young people is dramatically increasing (Figures 1, 2, 3). In the following year, this gap continued to expand. Researchers who investigated adolescent smokers who had smoked menthol cigarettes between 2012 and 2014 found a 4 percentage point increase from 2008 to 2010. Black smokers reported that smokers of all ages use menthol cigarettes most often and nearly 80% of black smokers are smoking menthol.
