Shalini Lakshmi YLDP Service Project Paper On January 2, 2016, I and the YLDP team volunteered for a day at Houston Food Bank. Volunteering in a food bank is a very fulfilling experience that makes me feel that I have accomplished a small part of making the world a better place. On the day I went to the YLDP team as a volunteer, more than 100 volunteers came out to collect food packaging for those in need. People from all walks of life. Some volunteers are elderly people and some are children. When I saw many people taking a holiday on Saturday, I got up early, donated to food banks, volunteered and I am proud of my community. When I was working with other volunteers, I felt real community awareness. When you put the can into the box, the volunteer will tell a story with a joke. When the arms start to hurt due to the speed of boxing, someone will give me peace of mind, the pain disappears

Community service is an important part of American student life. Therefore, we are actively participating in various nonprofit service projects. I have been volunteering with various regional service projects in Bangladesh. Therefore, I can share my experience and learn new ideas and skills to return to Bangladesh's social welfare field. In addition to his study and work he arranged arrangements for visiting Washington. We visited the National Assembly building and visited the Parliament Building. Traveling to Seattle is incomplete unless you observe the signature of Space Needle, the iconic Pacific Coast Northwest, Seattle. We upgraded to the observation deck and enjoyed the wonderful views of the city skyline, the mountains, the bay and the islands. There were fun activities such as camping at Pack Forest, hiking at Mount Rainier, sunbathing at the beach, cruising at Seattle Harbor.

We are also very bored. My best friend Daniel and I decided to continue the service that our school offers during the spring break. Schools offer service choices in different cities. Daniel had a great time last year. We chose to help national refugees adapt to American lives. We will help them build their own community and attract children to such things. This is amazing. People appreciate, memories last a long, and I still talk with our service team. We make many interesting friends and I feel that we are affecting the lives of these people. I usually do not do this, considering everything, I am delighted to have this experience.
