The first article, Hayes (2007), 26 consists of three parts. In the first part of his article, Hayes (2007: 5) argues that "eyes of faith" should be an "epistemological premise" to read the Bible and restore the theological interpretation of the Bible I will. In the second part of this article (ibid .: 7-11), contemporary discussion on non-theological interpretation is being investigated, among which Räisänen, Fox, Meeks are part of it. The third part (ibid: 11-15) argues theological interpretation and classifies theological interpretation as a method rather than a practice. Hayes then confirmed the twelve characteristics of the practice of theological interpretation as follows:

Clarify the distinction between the disciplines of the Bible and theology and the interrelationship between them. Discuss matters related to the nature, content and method of the Bible and History theology. Further study on Bible books and theological subjects. Critically think about contemporary problems and developments from the theological point of view of the Bible. Combine the theological considerations of the Bible with their particular field or ministry. Establishment of the theological base of the Bible for Christian maturity, morality, and service
