The CNSL 650 consulting and application I Foundation course introduces the theory and practice of counseling to students. The course presents a broad overview of current vision and consulting skills and represents a parallel and integrated perspective on the capabilities, values and insights associated with promoting interactions. Emphasis is placed on nurturing counseling skills and counselor characteristics with emphasis on personal growth, self-recognition and self-recognition. Student participation in role play is a medium for each student to explore the possibility of counseling and evaluate comparative advantage and disadvantage. 3 sem time, 3 credits

Introduction of pastoral counseling; pre-marriage and marriage counseling; counseling ethics and legal issues; human growth and development; multicultural counseling; counseling theory; career counseling; Grace College and Theological College have a masters degree in clinical mental health counseling. This is a 60 credit CACREP certification program that can be completed online in 6 - 8 terms (7 - 10 days a year). The program emphasizes the commitment to psychology and social science and the integration of the Bible. Graduates of the program are ready to acquire specialized licenses when supervised clinical hours and domestic license exams are completed
