There are many people all over the world who believe in something or higher power. Approximately 5 billion people believe in higher power (Tiemann 526). There are six world religious believers in the world. The religions of the six worlds are Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Confucianism. Many of these religions are monotheism, only believing in one god or one higher power. There are also polytheists. It is faith that believes in one or more God.
Most people in the world agree with one of the following religions: ➢ Christianity: Christianity is the most common religion in the world, Christianity comes from Judaism. It is based on the belief that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Redeemer of man. There are many different Christian sects. ➢ Muslim: Muslim believers are called Muslims. Muslims believe that the true God's Word was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad around 570. The God of Islam is the same God as the God of Christians and Jews. ➢ Judaism: Judaism is a monotheistic religion that goes beyond Christianity and is based on the belief that you are an "electorate" of God. ➢ Hinduism: Hinduism is the oldest major religion in the world and dominates India. Hindus are not worshiping people and gods but are led by ancient culture.
Most religions in the world share a common theme. Worship the gods, observe the problems of the world, and propose solutions. These features exist in Biblical Christianity, but the difference between it and other religions is very large.
