Workplace CERT programs can support and enhance existing functions and CERT volunteers can participate in efforts to improve responsiveness and resilience of the workplace and community. The Workplace CERT program provides employees with skills to perform basic disaster response activities in emergency situations. The "Workplace CERT Getting Started Guide" is intended to support individuals or teams in charge of planning and implementing CERT at work. The CERT program at each workplace uniquely fulfills the specific needs of the workplace that it serves. This guide is a reference, not a manual for launching the Workplace CERT program.
