This summer I was an intern at Women Employed. This is an advocacy based non-profit organization aimed at mobilizing people and organizations to expand education and employment opportunities for women working in the United States. Through the employment work of women, I learned what advocacy is and what it means to other people. In general, it gives individuals the opportunity to cheat against their voices. It is learning about the experiences of many people and I'm looking for ways to improve their situation.

In the 1970s, working-class women began to organize on behalf of women. Working class women's organizations such as Sao Paulo housewife association and Sao Paulo Mothers Club are important places for women's dissatisfaction about informal care and urban living expenses. Like other Latin American countries, women's participation in the union and leadership has not been very successful. The first Sao Paulo Female Metalworker Conference held in 1978 received harassment and intimidation by employers and only 300 of 800 women who participated actually participated in the conference.
