Throughout history, color was always a way to provide immediate visual perception. The colors related to women's voting rights represent many aspects of business. British women's voting rights are purple, white, and green. Purple, white, gold is the color of the American voting rights movement. So why are these colors and differences from one side of the pond to the other? When the British Women's Social and Political Union (WSPU) was looking for a color scheme to differentiate their political movements, they chose purple, white and green. Emmeline Pethick-Lawrence, editor of the weekly newspaper Women Voting, explains as follows. White expresses purity in private life and public life ... green is the color of hope, symbol of spring. Internationally, purple is a symbol of female color. Historically, the combination of purple, green and white symbolized the equality of women. It was derived from the social and political alliance of British women in 1908. Purple symbolizes justice and dignity. Green symbolizes hope. White represents purity, but "purity" is a controversial concept, so it is no longer used. The introduction of yellow representing "new dawn" is often used to represent the second wave of feminism. Therefore purple and green represent traditional feminism, purple and yellow represent progressive modern feminism.
