From the early days of the ancient times, the status of women was a relationship with men. Women are ranked second in this guy. From the early days, women are not only thought to be intelligently lower than men, they are also the main cause of temptation and evil. In the early Roman law, women were children, they were not said to be as good as men. "Double criteria" certainly not only includes biology but it is also the product of male domination over the history of women. In ancient Western European civilization, the culture like Romans, the status of women is clearly defined as being inferior to men by scripts and customs, and all people in these cultures understood and followed it . Rome was founded as a patriarchal society and women were property of their husbands after their father. However, in the early Christian culture, women were more respected than the first two cultures, primarily for Jesus and Paul. Jesus teaches equality, but Paul spreads his message and spreads Christianity
In ancient Greece, women were not treated equal, men were more important, women were less important, men were rulers, women were subjects. In Greek the word "women" is also a statement to my wife. There is no difference between them and leads to life, Greeks believe that the main role of women is to be a wife. Under Greek law, I understand that the function of women is "duty to lay babies keeping children, especially families" (Spielvogel 79). Ancient women were classified as traditional housework - textiles, family management, childbirth, and other family related problems. They have nothing to say in public life and have little to say in their private life. Their lives are guided by family men, whether they are fathers, brothers or husbands. They did not even choose to get married, and most girls got married at 14 or 15 years old. If they are permitted in public places they can only visit family graves or participate in religious holidays. Young girls occasionally have the opportunity to get water from a well they meet other women, at least limited socialization. However, the lives of women are still severely restricted. They decided to change themselves
