Iraq is one of many countries whose economic situation is underdeveloped. This country is governed by men who own women very much. Iraqis women are not allowed to make their own decisions. The Iraqi government does not allow women to participate in the government or any law. Because of lack of participation, women do not know their rights. Here, women are very abused. Men in Iraq believe that women are smaller and weaker than men. These women receive physical and mental abuse due to social, family and male abuse.
Iraqi women were part of women who received higher education. In Iraq, unlike many border countries, women have many rights. Men and women can share equivalent wages for equal work, get a 6 month maternity leave, and serve in the military as well. It is easy for women in Iraq to find a job and there are many opportunities to work in many occupations. Today these women are poor creatures who are forced to keep silent, chasing their husband like their husband, always being obedient to her husband. Media believes that a typical wife is not really saying in family management, and men decide every problem. Some Americans believe that Muslim women are being oppressed by religion and are completely forced to hide and to force them to deprive education and other fundamental rights. Like women all over the world, Muslim women fight for equality
Iraqi women in Saddam's military dictatorship regime have higher freedom of human rights than democratic Iraq of the Bush administration. Therefore, the US-led occupation did not benefit the struggle of women's rights, especially as it promoted the radicalist interpretation of the Constitution. Arab women are advancing the fight for empowerment. Several developments involve the appointment of more women of the Arab government to Jordan and Egyptian parliament. The United States provides political problem training to female politician candidates through MEPI to increase the number of female members.
A large number of Arab women gather in medical, dental, pharmacy, nursing care fields. They account for the majority of enrollment rates in Egypt, Algeria, Kuwait, Lebanon, Iraq, Syria, Tunisia. Medicine is an honorable and profitable occupation, because most Arab women want to be treated by female doctors, especially gynecologists and obstetricians. Current statistics highlight the significant improvement and substantial expansion of educational opportunities at all levels of Arab women over the past 20 years. Today, girls who are just born in the Arab world have far more opportunities to go to school than mothers and graduate from college. The Arab government has promised and decided to increase educational opportunities and ensure that all qualified women have access to these opportunities.
