Wolf, wild, once more for my previous online paper, I thought I would return to childhood - commitment with wolves. I fell in love with the idea of a wolf food since I saw the reproduction of manga from the story of the prince of the forest "The Unscrupulous Brothers" (real, not the "interpretation" of that terrible Disney). Wolf was once an important part of our "American culture". We have killed them in their country long ago, but their importance in the minds of Americans is not diminished.
The American Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS), which was on the verge of hunting and extinction, in 1980 rolled up less than 20 wolves under capture. The complete recovery plan continues to plague recovery efforts. As a result, those numbers continue to decline, red wolves are again faced with wild extinction. Historically, red wolves have traveled from Pennsylvania to Florida, and west to south east America to Texas west. Today, wild populations in the northeastern North Carolina state are only 1.7 million acres in size, including the Crocodile National Wildlife Sanctuary and Pocosim National Wildlife Refuge.
Red Wolf: The last group of wild wolves in the coastal meadows and wetlands of Louisiana and Texas. Red wolves were almost eradicated by the effort of reintroduction in the wildlife reserve of eastern North Carolina. Since wolves often breed with coyotes that have recently moved to this area, the number of current wild populations has decreased by less than 150 people. Red Wolf is also part of a breeding program in the US and Canada at several zoos and hopefully one day will reintroduce new safe areas into seeds.
One of the challenges of the recovery of the red wolf in the south east is the possibility to disperse the breeding of wolves and coyotes. When the red wolf is in danger of extinction, that is to stay wild along the coasts of Texas and Louisiana, it was related to the phenomenon known as "hybrid swarm". Pure red wolf enough to ensure species' survival. Since there is a coyote almost anywhere in the southeast, how can we prevent red wolves and coyotes from intersecting? Are there areas without wolves that can be reintroduced into red wolves? Can you help me find the answers to these questions?
Remarks By 1980, red wolves were obviously extinct in the wild. However, the red wolf capture breeding group was founded in several parts of the country. Since 1987 Red Wolf has been reintroduced into the Alligator River National Wildlife Sanctuary (ARNWR) on the island near the coast of North Carolina. Between 1987 and 1992, ARNWR released 42 wolves and at least 23 wolves were born in the wild. As of August 1992, there were at least 24 wolves in the population of ARNWR. In addition, red wolf pairs are released in Bologna, South Carolina, Saint Vincent, Florida, and Horn Island in Mississippi, but breeding and survival are limited. Recently red wolves were reintroduced into the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It is doubtful that Red Wolf can be reintroduced in Texas due to previous population pressure.
