On January 27, 1756, Wolfgang Amadeus, the youngest child of Leopold Mozart and Anna Maria Pelte, was born in Salzburg. He was thought to be one of the most wonderful musicians in history, when he was 3 years old he was a keyboardist and a violinist. He was writing a symphony when he was 5 years old. His father, Leopoldo Mozart (1719-1787), is fully responsible for coaching Wolfgang and his sister Mariana ("Nannel"). She is a very talented keyboard player.
