Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, "When a country is patriotic, I really want to explore the cleanliness and cleanliness of his hands" (Naked Eye View). When George Orwell investigated the completeness of Oceania's excessive patriotism in 1984, it turned out that the value that modern citizens often cherish is very lacking. Oceania does not have basic concepts such as independence thinking, privacy, freedom of speech.

Winston Smith lives in London, but it is not what we know about London. London in 1984 was not part of the UK, but part of Oceania and was one of the three largest governments in this world of books. Oceania is dominated by a powerful and mysterious elite. The government, known as "Big Brother", always uses cameras and listening devices to monitor all citizens. There is also a secret police force aimed at reporting rebellious ideas and general illegal actions to the authorities.

The world is divided into three major countries, Eurasia, East Asia and Oceania. Oceania is the country in which Winston lives, and the party dominates it. These three countries often fight each other. Oceania may be a monthly war with Eurasia, an alliance with East Asia, and the next is the opposite. But, no matter who is currently fighting Oceania, they claim they have fought with them. There is no document proving that this is not a fact, people are always being brainwashed to existing TV screens. The party will never be bad

In the 1984 show, our lives will not be as secret as it is now. Oceania has no privacy, and the United States is getting like this. In a sense, America is already like Oceania. There are many elements in the book that can be compared with every aspect of today's American society. Since George Orwell is correct in many ways, a government very similar to 1984 will soon appear. One element of 1984 was "Big Brother". He is the ruler of Oceania. He is not a person, he is the name of the whole government. Big Brother can represent our government today. You may not know, but the government knows all about us. They only need our name and social security number, they can learn a lot about us. The government has our previous work, we go to school and where we live. Big Brother is the same in the book, but it may be worse. My older brother is disturbing more than our government today.
