Together with all the advances in technology, our society is constantly seeking ways to make people's lives more effective today. But this common goal of people does not apply to academic / educational world. It seems that repeated use of Wikipedia as a reference for research papers between classrooms is repeatedly debated. No matter how many scholars thought about it, it was time for society to accept this new type of software as a reliable source of information on our educational journey.
Founded in 2001, Wikipedia was considered curious by people other than Wikipedia 'Sports' in the first few years. However, Wikipedia has become more popular, and in 2005 it became the most popular reference site on the Internet. Popularity attracted attention from the media. Most critics believe Wikipedia is an experiment that is supposed to die by Utopian extremists. For those who did not care or remember controversy at the time, I will list some examples of criticism against Wikipedia in 2005.
