Why were the American colonies unhappy with the British government?

By the 1770's, the UK established many colonies in North America. American colonists thought they were Britons and the subject of the King George III. They are connected to the UK through trade and its way of control. As trade is restricted, the colony has to rely on British imports of goods and goods. There are no banks and little money so the settlers used barter and credit to get what they need. After the war between France and India, the UK hopes to control the expansion of the western region. In 1763 the King issued a declaration prohibiting villages outside the Appalachian mountain range. The settlers who settled in these lands were ordered to return to the east of the mountain.
