Why George and Lennie Traveled Together

Why George and Renee traveled together for a simple answer, why George and Rennie traveled with "They are friends" or "George promises to be with the aunt". There are many reasons. Obviously, the dependence on George and Renee, especially Renee George, depends on each other. It is very strange for people on the road to build long lasting friendship as they have to keep on a new pasture.
