Why Female Youths Join Gangs

Based on conflicts between men and women, lack of family support, and whatever violence in life, why do female young people participate in the gang? Through adolescence, young women are more difficult to deal with the cruel realities of living in families, sexual behavior and urban slums than young men. Young women who have to endure these aspects of life have little chance of success. Therefore, these young women look to alternative families, where they feel they are needed and loved, even if it is temporary.

There are various reasons to participate in the gang, but like most youth activities, most young men and women participate in the gang and seek friendship and love whether it is a crime or not. The desire to belong to a gang may arise from various motives, but all gangs have commonly the requirements of turf and territory in common. Gang's lawn is a block, a community, or the whole city. Members are wearing gang color, or clothes and symbols of a certain style. This may indicate the luxury and power of a particular community. Certain social actions such as association with gang members and knowledge of gang signs are also problems of survival.
