Who is Better Reader of Jack or Ralph? William Golding's LOTF was published in 1954 right after the Second World War. In the story it is like we saw a small war between the boys. Ralf is representative of democracy, equal to Churchill representing peace and happiness. It is the opposite of Jack, democracy and peace equivalent to Hitler. Golding showed us that Ralph and Jacques explained their appearance from the beginning. Jack is expressed as "thin" and "bone", red hair is worn in black. It seems that Golding is explaining all the dead gods we all know about death and evil. And black and red are usually related to evil and malignant things, and Ralph is explained as his old handsome hair. ... Read more

He took over the boy with the authority of nature and agreed to vote for the chief. This emphasizes the relationship between Churchill and democracy, and since Jack is a choir and a boy, Jack begins to brag about how to automatically take on Chief 's role. He can sing a sharp song. Obviously none of these things can help them leave the island. Ralf became the CEO by voting, it established a conflict between the qualities of different leaders offered by Jack and Ralph. I personally disagree with this statement as Ralph is still completely ignoring that it is the most civilized personality in the whole novel. Illegal killing of others. Ralph lacks the open wisdom of a pig, but he is gentle and reasonable, with good judgment and a strong moral perspective. He is vulnerable to the same instinctive influence of other boys, including Ralf's role in Simon's death. However, as Ralf focuses on justice and equality, Ralph is representative of liberation as a leader and democracy. So, who is the better leader? Ultimately, I think that this will raise doubts, are you rather living in an unregulated society based on dictatorship and evil, such as Jack and Hitler society? Still, are they in democracy based on peace like Ralph or Churchill? ... Read more

This student's work is one of a number of works in the William Golding section of GCSE.

In the novel by William Golding, "Fly King Ralph" was not a strong man but people understood more than Jack who gave better leadership than he did. Ralf has shown these useful human qualities as leaders by working to improve the society of boys. If you want to survive on the island, he knows that boys need stability and order. He made rules and simple forms of government to accomplish this order. Jack did not treat the dignified boy like Ralph. Ralf understands that boys, especially piglets, are respected and must be treated equally. This makes Ralf a better leader as he can admit that he is not better than any other boy. His ability to make future vision of Ralph and him a good leader. Ralf has reasons to keep paying attention to leaving the island. He insisted on burning the fire to the sign of the trouble.

Jack is a charismatic leader who resembles Ralph. He has the ability to unite boys and persuade them to follow their leadership. Jack's agenda is different from Ralph's agenda. Because he prevents signal fires and builds evacuation centers, he suggests hunting and swimming to boys. Unlike Ralf, Jack uses intimidation and punishment to motivate the tribe. Since Jack 's leadership is seldom considered by others' minds, it can be described as being tyranny. The tribe of Jack is the representative of barbarian barbarism. Ralph is a symbol of civilization and structure.
