For the past two years I was a teacher assistant of a special education class. I am working in more than 15 schools and more than 30 different classrooms, from kindergartens to adult migration programs. For the past 3 months I am working in an adult transition class with 5 students. Four of the five students are nonverbal and seriously acting. The school is in a small city in Corona, California, with the majority of Hispanic students.
Research review Throughout the semester, I worked with a young girl with English learner (ELL). English learners are people who are not yet fully English and whose native language is not English (Lerner and Johns, 2012). Decreasing the skill level of English may make it difficult for individuals to understand and use English (Learner and Johns, 2012). - English as the official language of the United States will benefit the US government and the whole United States. Since World War II and the 1940s, American English settled its position in the decades through its dominant position in the entertainment industry and its dominant position in information technology and the Internet. American English, like British Standard English, is mainly due to its social and cultural history.
English learners (usually written in capital letters as English learners, or abbreviated as ELL) are those who learn English in addition to their mother tongue. The guidance and evaluation of students, their cultural background, and the attitudes of classroom teachers to ELL are considered to be a factor in achieving ELL students. Some of the proposed ways to support ELL include bringing their family culture into the classroom, bringing them into the language specific content field from the beginning, and incorporating literature into the learning program . Some education supporters, especially American education supporters, prefer studying in any second language, which is bilingual in emerging situations
