Who are the Standard English Learners

For the past two years I was a teacher assistant of a special education class. I am working in more than 15 schools and more than 30 different classrooms, from kindergartens to adult migration programs. For the past 3 months I am working in an adult transition class with 5 students. Four of the five students are nonverbal and seriously acting. The school is in a small city in Corona, California, with the majority of Hispanic students.

American English now dominates the world. It is standard American English taught to foreign learners around the world, and it is unusual for people from the Pacific, Far East and Europe to find American English accents and use American idioms It is not that. Since World War II and the 1940s, American English settled its position in the decades through its dominant position in the entertainment industry and its dominant position in information technology and the Internet. American English, like British Standard English, is mainly due to its social and cultural history.
