While America Slept: The True Story of 9/11

Ten years ago this month, the United States was more concerned about summer vacation than terrorist attacks. The big movie of this mall is "American Pie II", leading the box office income of "Rush Hour II". Beyonce is considering giving up her band for a personal career.

An important story in the news is about shark attacks, wildfires, and Congress' interns named Chandra. A young baseball player became a hero after a perfect game with the Little League World Series, then became a villain. Others suggest that a company called Enron may have problems. By the summer of 2001, Americans already knew "Hang Ruth Harassment", but few people have heard about Al Qaeda and Osama bin Laden.

However, when the country was in the midst of a dog day, the terrorist group was in the final stages of a series of attacks that would kill 3000 people on September 11. It seems that most of the federal government is crazy during the summer. I missed the warning sign of the worst acts of terrorism against American soil. When some intelligence officials issued a danger signal, the White House issued a warning about an impending attack, and the CIA failed to share information about the FBI and the terrorist trip.

On the next few pages, the September 11 timeline of the ABC News Research Team details the things the United States is doing in August and September 2001 and what hijackers do every day. With everyday updates, we will track the behavior of hijackers. As with flight school tickets and knives, we will influence them as they buy a blue blazer.
