When you are five years, most of your life is not that bad. So I am not at all nervous. I went to class and started reading.
I do not remember what I wrote, but since the entire class is broken (in an interesting way) it should be funny.
So I went to the next kindergarten class and interrupted my teacher and told her that the teacher asked me to read my diary aloud and read.
At the end of that day, I took a walk in the corridor of the kindergarten at George Washington Carver Elementary School in Little Rock, Arkansas, and read my little magazine in all classes.
All the teachers are very grateful. This is just a few pages of journals, but they behave like I just wrote the best book ever.
That moment gave me deep, creative confidence that is not destroyed. I have written it for many years since then.
