Which anime are often considered classics among Western anime fans?

Most of the animation fans I know are from America, so my list will be mainly in America. These special series are thought to be the classics of young people of these era because it is likely to be introduced into animation. For example, Voltron, Sailor Moon, Ranma 1/2, Outlaw Star, and Dragon Ball Z are classic ones I think. Because they are all series that made it possible for me to enter the world of animation.

From the 1970's to the 1990's, animation was distributed to fans in a variety of non-traditional ways. Copies of fans who created animation networks, especially in the United States, were distributed to other fans to import and distribute videos to numerous underground enthusiasts (Leonard, 2004). All of these were also in the players of many of these circles before the Internet era and with the growing network of fans. Let's spread the knowledge and love of Japanese animation through these underground networks and witness that animation is widely and commercially used in the process.

Japanese anime and animation was introduced for the first time in 1960. However, there is controversy as to whether animation should be regarded as animation. Most Westerners think animation is another form of manga. Nonetheless, Japan does not want to regard animation as a form of cartoon. There is an image of animation in Japan, and I use animation in everyday life. This is a part of their culture. Anime is used in Japanese education, marketing strategy, magazines, movies, books. Manga is a kind of animation. As cartoons have illustrations, graphics, and dialogue just like comic books, comics are Japanese version of Western books of comic books. However, cartoons are mainly for adults. Violence, rude humor, sexuality, anatomical graphics, and so on. Manga and animated graphics are often anatomically correct for the human body. This is one reason why animation should not be regarded as animation.
