When I Think About Myself Poem by Maya Angelou

Maya Angelo shared the irony of her life as she thought of myself through her poetry. She makes the person who speaks in the poem as strong as herself. It sounds like Maya, she thinks and talks about her life. Maya wrote her poem from first person perspective From the first section of the poem, we can see the use of the pronoun "me" and "myself".

Whenever I read poetry, I ignore my feelings, but I try to understand the author's emotions.
