What Was the Cold War?

However, in the most common Cold War opinion, basically we believe this is a conflict between the two superpowers caused by the Soviet invasion. In fact, this "war" is the Democratic Party and the Communist Party government, East and West, and most importantly it is a tense political confrontation between the United States of America and the Soviet Union. After all, because the possibility of such nuclear attacks is frightening America, the Soviet Union has accumulated a lot of electricity and nuclear weapons.

If you do not know yet, the Cold War is a period of fierce competition between the United States and the Soviet Union. The Cold War lasted from the end of the Second World War in 1945 until the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991. The Cold War was not a real war with people, guns, tanks, fighters, but a fierce war. President Reagan of the two superpowers in the world thinks that the United States needs to have strong military power. He thinks he is willing to negotiate with the Soviets (he does), but he wants to negotiate from a strong position. In 1983, Reagan proposed a missile defense system called Strategic Defense Program (SDI). Basically this is a missile defense system, laser and other state-of-the-art technology can offset future missiles. This project relied on technologies that were not yet available, but this project aroused the fear of the Soviet Union and gave the US an advantage in negotiations. The project has never been fully deployed

During the Cold War, the US and the Soviet Union began to participate in nuclear weapons competition. They spent billions of dollars to build huge nuclear weapons. At the end of the Cold War, the Soviet Union used about 27% of the gross national product for military purposes. This seriously affected their economy and helped to end the Cold War. A nuclear bomb is a very powerful weapon that can destroy an entire city and kill thousands of people. Nuclear weapons were used in the war only when we went to Japan at the end of World War II. The premise of the Cold War is that both political parties do not want to participate in a nuclear war that could destroy most civilizations world.
