What the Genome Revolution Could Mean for Me and the Rio Grande Valley

For me and the Rio Grande Valley, the genome revolution means that the progress of technology is faster than our own brain can understand, so the impact of these advances can not be measured at the moment. This is even more evident in the biotechnology field where researchers are changing the way people regard themselves as defective individuals. The newly mapped human gene sequence provides scientists with the tools necessary to manipulate, "repair" or modify the human genetic code to produce people with any specifications required by humans.

Rio Grande Valley is known as RGV, it is not a valley at all. This is a floodplain influenced by Rio Grande as Louisiana State is increasing in Mississippi State. However, Rio Grande is domesticated, and in South Texas the flood is still a living reality, but it is not as common as it used to be. It was always a poor place in the poorest areas of the United States of America. However, in 1996, President Bill Clinton signed the North American Free Trade Agreement. The treaty that has been despised by so many people has caused unprecedented growth and makes Rio Grande Valley one of the fastest growing regions in the country.

Wide range of poverty in the Rio Grande River Valley is a good thing? Do residents of the valley need to highly evaluate it? Rio Grande Valley is one of America's poorest areas; many people living there have low standard of living and have problems of crime and family malfunction. So is poverty bad for the people here? I think that there are many positive things besides all the bad things caused by poverty. In order to distinguish between the fact that it is alive and the fact that it lives in a simple environment, we must carefully study the conflicts that people have to face here.

I grew up in McAllen, Texas. This is one of Rio Grande Valley and the country's fastest growing city. In 2010, I graduated from McAllen High School, studied at the Rio Grande Valley University in Texas for one year, later known as the Pan American Texas University. Oh, I am gay. I do not have traditional university experience with UTPA, but I was educated by some of the smartest professors in the country. This is the truth. At the end of UTPA, I decided to go to a more movie-oriented school. So, I decided to move to San Francisco, California at $ 600 in my pocket in 2012.
