In order to let people know how the lifestyle of the United Arab Emirates changed, I interviewed my grandmother about the problem of nutrition and physical activity when I went to elementary school. My grandmother was born in 1961 and grew up in a small village. Her mother is a housewife and her father is a cop. They have vegetable farms and dates palm trees, and they also have camels, goats and chickens. Food is very easy, India and Oman have many imported foods such as fruits and rice, but my grandmother's meal is almost healthy.

Oral tradition is an integral part of the history of ancient Southeast Asia, but verbal history is a relatively new development. Since the 1960's, verbal history has gained increasing attention in both institutional and personal levels and represents "history from above" and "history from the bottom". In oral history and public memory, Blackburn explains the oral history as a tool in the Southeast Asian countries during the post colonial period as "political elite and national institution to promote the goal of state-owned". Blackburn uses most of his oral history in Malaysia and Singapore as a carrier of "history from above".

"Oral History gathers historical memory and personal comments through recorded interviews Oral History interviews usually include careful interviewers who ask questions and use voice.The interview record is posted , Aggregated, indexed and placed in libraries and archives These interviews can be used for publications, documentaries of broadcasts and videos, exhibitions of museums, dramaization, or excerpts of research Other types of public presentations , Records, transcripts, catalogs, photos, and related documents can also be posted on the internet.
In 1948, Columbia University historian Alan Nevins established the Columbia Oral History Research Office. Currently known as Columbia Oral History Center. Its purpose is to record, transcribe and save the oral history interview. Regional Oral History Office was founded in 1954 as a division of Bancroft Library at the University of California, Berkeley. In 1967, the American oral historian founded the Oral History Society, and the British oral historian established the Oral History Association in 1969. In 1981, Ohio State University business historian Mansel G. Blackford thought that verbal history is a useful tool. History of corporate merger Recently Harvard Business School has launched an innovative emerging market project "Explore the evolution of business leadership in Africa, Asia and Latin America through oral history over the past few decades".
