What makes you particularly proud to be an American?

Why are you proud that I am American? When I think about the value it is based on, I am proud to be American about our founder's intention when drafting the Constitution. We are proud of the achievements of all fields such as art, science, medicine, education and human rights. I am not proud of what I mean. I am not particularly proud of this. It did not make me better than anyone else, in fact it made my life more difficult.
