What is the difference between hip hop and rap?

Rap has long been a storytelling poetry recitation style, strong and regular rhythm, which is usually spoken but occasionally transmitted in songs (Nelly, Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony). Rap is closely related to hip hop style and usually includes sampling, vinyl scratching, rap, unique beat, destructive aesthetics, and urban emotions. However, wraps could be included in any type and appeared in rocks, heavy metals, countries etc. (Many of contemporary pop songs include rap poems and bridges.)
