What is Organizational Behavior?

The behavior of the organization is "to study thoughts, emotions, and behaviors of people within and around the organization" (McShane & Steen, 2012 p. In the sixth week of the seminar, we completed winter survival exercise as a class and team. The winter survival campaign consisted of a list of survivors needed to land in the forest of southern Manitoba, a small plane crashed after landing. This list includes steel balls, newspapers and family oriented chocolate bars (one for each person). At the seminar, I found that there was a big difference in the evaluation of individuals and teams.

What is the behavior of the organization? In fact, organizational behavior (OB) encompasses many meanings and concepts. For example, organized culture, diversity, communication, organizational efficiency and efficiency, and organizational learning. With these important terms, people can fully explain what the organization is doing. Below I will explain these important terms one by one and I will show you some examples of related examples between my company and those important terms.

In this course, I learned that organizational behavior needs to study the influence of personal behavior, structure, and group in progressive organization on human behavior. As an organization I understand that organizational behavior is an interdisciplinary field including psychology, sociology, management, communication. Of course, it is clear that organizational behavior complements organization theory, organization theory focuses on topics within the organization and complements research on human resources. Through research on organizational behavior, I gained various perspectives and insights on organizational behavior. Furthermore, computer simulation has been learned to be one of the important concepts in strategic management and organizational research. Course clearly shows that scholars use computer simulation to understand how companies and organizations behave and act (Kinicki & Fugate, 2012)

Organizational behavior examines the influence of individuals, groups, and structures on human behavior within an organization. This is an interdisciplinary field including sociology, psychology, communication and management. Organizational behavior complements organizational theory focusing on topics within organizations and organizations and complements personnel research focusing on daily business practices. Organizational research includes research on multiple perspectives, methods, and organizations from analysis levels. "Micro" organizational behavior means the dynamics of individuals and groups within the organization.
