What Is Immunotherapy?

Immunotherapy may not cause the same side effects as chemotherapy or radiation therapy, and it may vary depending on the type of use

Cancer immunotherapy focuses on the immune system and is usually more targeted than chemotherapy and radiotherapy

Chemotherapy and radiotherapy damage healthy cells, usually causing hair loss and nausea / vomiting.

They are usually associated with stimulation of the immune system and can range from mild inflammatory symptoms to major symptoms similar to autoimmune diseases.

Immunotherapy is defined as "treatment of disease by inducing, enhancing or inhibiting an immune response" (Dictionary.com 2009). Immunotherapy is divided into two categories: activation of immunotherapy and suppression of immunotherapy. Even if you think that it is not important or unreliable whether it is related to immunotherapy, please let them know about new, ongoing or aggravating medical problems as soon as possible.

While other immunotherapies are provided only through clinical trials, some immunotherapies are standard therapies for specific cancers. Current immunotherapy can not treat certain cancers.
