Defining art depends on many factors related to human beings. It is a human imitation of the surrounding environment. Marking of artwork is subjective but objective. The philosopher Aristotle and the feelings of Plato show the early confrontation of this problem. Both of whom it is true imitation, Greek imitation and techniques, in other words you believe to mean skill, Plato believes that this is a departure from the truth and beauty. For Aristotle, it is more than just a "destructive" aesthetic idealism.
Can you define art? Webster's dictionary explicitly defines art as "consciously using skills and creative imagination", but this does not actually define what art is. There is good art and bad art. But how can you decide how art looks like? What is the sound and feel of good art? If someone decides whether the work is really a work of art and whether the conclusion is good, how can you decide it? I think that I am an artist. However, there is no fixed stereotype in the appearance of the artist. Because there are various kinds of art, there are various kinds of artists. For us, people who are not artists, it is often difficult (or sometimes not work) to understand the connections and functions of artists in society.
What is art? And "What is the function of art?" Is relatively new. Creating art contrary to spectator expectations and artistic customs is a clear contemporary concept. However, artists of all ages are products of their relative culture and age. Contemporary artists can express themselves in ways that past artists could not do and respond to social problems. When you experience the contemporary art at the Getty Center, the viewer is not a standard that has been used in the past, and use different criteria to determine the art. The audience, instead of asking, "Do you like the idea that artists have proposed", you may ask, "It looks like one."
